Engaged Engineers

Get involved beyond the classroom

The purpose of the Engaged Engineers program is to recognize the students who go beyond coursework and research to engage with the College of Engineering on a broader level. This serves as an opportunity for employers to see which students have a special dedication to service excellence. Points will be awarded for qualifying events and digital badges can be obtained at each point level.

Activities hosted by the College of Engineering that support the field of engineering or grow participation in STEM careers serve as qualifying events. Examples of qualifying activities:

  • Attending on-campus networking events
  • Volunteer to lead a tour for prospective students and parents
  • Join our outreach department for K-12 classroom visits, STEM nights or field trips to talk about engineering or help with activities
  • Serve on a student organization's board

Qualifying activities will be identified by an Engaged Engineer logo and/or notification on marketing materials.
