Academic advisory board
The undergraduate program educational objectives are broad statements that describe what graduates are expected to attain within a few years of graduation. Program educational objectives are based on the needs of the program's constituencies. These include faculty, students, alumni, as well as representatives from where our graduates achieve employment and/or further education. All of these groups are requested to participate in developing and modifying our program educational objectives on a 3 year cycle. They will also review such matters as enrollment, curricular content, course content and other matters that may affect ABET reviews, such as equipment and other resources.
The academic advisory board is made up of academics from graduate and professional schools, representatives from the biomedical engineering industry, and government agencies. Academics will include those in charge of graduate program admissions, as well as medical school dental school, pharmacy school, etc. admissions. Representatives from the biomedical engineering industry will include managers from both local as well as national corporations, and from areas such as research and development, manufacturing and sales. Representatives from government agencies will include managers of departments of disability services, policy makers and patent officers.
We will be inviting representatives to participate in our 2015-2016 Program Review cycle. Those who are interested and meet the criteria should contact:
Dianne Pawluk, Ph.D., ABET Coordinator

Any alumni who wish to be involved in the process can also contact Dr. Pawluk to participate on the Alumni Board.
