Shah was presented the award at the BMES Annual Meeting held in Philadelphia Oct. 16-19, 2019. Awards are selected on the basis of originality, significance, thoroughness of design analysis and performance evaluation. Shah won the same award in 2018.

“I really appreciate the support I've received from my friends, family and the Olivares-Navarrete Lab,” he said. “Dr. Olivares-Navarrete and my graduate student mentor, Jefferson Overlin, were great teachers throughout my research experience and I could not have received this award without their support.”
