Change of Major and Transfer Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Minimum requirements for admitting a VCU student to a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Major:
- Cumulative GPA must be at least 3.0 for courses taken at VCU
- Completion of the following courses with a "C" or better:
- MATH 151
- CMSC 254 or CMSC 210
- CMSC 255
Transfer students wishing to enter the B.S. in Computer Science and who hold an Associate’s Degree should have at least a 3.0 GPA. Each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science
Minimum requirements for admitting a VCU student to a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science Major:
- Cumulative GPA must be at least 2.0 for courses taken at VCU
- Completion of the following courses with a "C" or better:
- MATH 151
- CMSC 254 or CMSC 210
- CMSC 255
Transfer students wishing to enter the B.A. in Computer Science and who hold an Associate’s Degree should have at least a 2.0 GPA. Each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
