Engineering Career Services Recruitment Partner Program
The Recruitment Partner Program is an annual program administered throughout the academic year and includes various levels of participation to best fit your organization’s goals. The Engineering Recruitment Partner Program is designed to help employers build their brand on-campus, market to current and future open positions, and drive hiring success.
Levels of Participation
The Recruitment Partner Program is an annual program administered throughout the academic year and includes various levels of participation to best fit your organization’s goals.
Everything at the previous levels plus:
- Career Fair priority
- Two tables at both the Fall and Spring Career Fair and preferential placement of your table (within space availability)
- Unlimited representatives at the Career Fair without additional charge
- An exclusive networking mixer for your organization (and your organization only) and College of Engineering student organizations
- Resume book of target students
- Employer branding package:
- Display of a TV monitor slide/silent video that will be shown on the TVs in all 3 of our Engineering buildings for one month
- An email blast of 2-3 emails to the your target recruitment group with all relevant open positions, an intro to your company, and inclusion of a recruitment video
- Application monitoring and sending more emails, if necessary
- Recognition as a Student Resource Room sponsor at the Career Fair
- Interview Days after each Career Fair
- Four interview booths for each Interview Day
Everything at the previous levels plus:
- Career Fair priority
- Two tables at both the Fall and Spring Career Fair and preferential placement of your table (within space availability)
- Up to 6 representatives at the Career Fair without additional charge
- Two Recruitment Days per year including:
- Sponsorship of the weekly College of Engineering Coffee Hour or Pizza Mixer with the opportunity to meet a wide variety of VCU engineers and faculty members
- The opportunity to fully participate and share real world insight with the students enrolled in the ENGR 395: Professional Development course
- The opportunity to connect with graduating seniors in your target recruitment group by presenting to a Senior Design course (dependent on the availability of class sessions)
- Dedicated Engineering Career Services recruitment consultant and event management
- Custom on-campus event plan to help you reach your specific recruitment goals
- Collaboration to identify students who meet employer’s target recruitment criteria
- 90 second recruitment video on the resume review platform, Quinncia
- Your recruitment video will be shown to ENGR 395: Professional Development students as they upload their resumes for review
- As students wait for feedback on their resume, your video will be shown
- Students will be matched to your video based on your target recruitment group
- Typically over 250 students in the College of Engineering from freshmen to juniors use this tool each semester
- Interview Days after each Career Fair
- Three interview booths for each Interview Day
Everything at the $2,000 level plus:
- One Recruitment Day a year in the fall or spring that would include:
- Sponsorship of the weekly College of Engineering Coffee Hour or Pizza Mixer with the opportunity to meet a wide variety of VCU engineers and faculty members
- The opportunity to fully participate and share real world insight with the students enrolled in the ENGR 395: Professional Development course
- Interview Days after each Career Fair
- Two interview booths for each Interview Day
- Engineering Career Fairs
- One table at the fall and spring Engineering Career Fairs
- Two representatives
- Interview Days after each Career Fair
- One interview booth for each Interview Day
- Invitation to the Fall Career Fair Mixer, an exclusive networking event with the members of engineering student organizations and other Partner employers
- Sponsorship of the weekly College of Engineering Coffee Hour or Pizza Mixer with the opportunity to meet a wide variety of VCU engineers and faculty members during the spring semester
- Targeted emails to students to help drive application numbers on an as needed basis
- Opportunity to participate in Mock Interviews each semester
- Recognition and Branding
- Partner companies highlighted on ECS student-facing landing pages on Career Services website
- Recognition in all ECS staff signature blocks
- Logos prominently displayed in student-facing emails sent by Engineering Career Services
- Participation in the Engineering Mentorship Program
- Each Employer Partner is required to provide at least two engineers or software developers to serve as mentors for the students of ENGR 395: Professional Development
- Each mentor will need to commit to one virtual hour of mentoring a small group of students 3 times a semester
