Engineering Career Ambassadors
Are you ready for a prestigious opportunity to become a leader in your VCU engineering community? If so, then the VCU Engineering Career Ambassadors Program is for you.
Engineering Career Services is offering students the opportunity to become leaders in the VCU engineering community while helping their peers succeed. Additionally, the Engineering Career Ambassadors will work closely with engineering employers and represent some of the best talents VCU has to offer.
BONUS: At the Internship and Career Fair, ambassadors can enter 30 minutes early to connect with employers and will have special name tags to stand out from other students.

The Engineering Career Ambassadors Program supports the Engineering Career Service’s mission to empower students with lifelong career and professional skills. Ambassadors play a vital role in educating and serving their peers by:
- Coaching fellow engineering students on mock interviews and resumes
- Assisting with employer networking events and workshops
- Presenting at various events across the College of Engineering
- Serving as a liaison for Engineering Career Services
- Promoting Engineering Career Services

- Invitation to exclusive lunches with engineering employers recruiting on-campus
Complete more than three tasks
- Receive the prizes included in Tiers 1 and 2
- Earn a $100 scholarship to attend a student organization conference of your choice
*Please note, trainings and monthly meetings do not count towards prizes.
Career Ambassadors will represent VCU Engineering in professional settings with employers, faculty, and other students. Because of this, it is important for Career Ambassadors to represent the best VCU Engineering has to offer and to have a passion for helping others succeed.
Requirements for the Engineering Career Ambassadors Program:
- Student in good academic standing at VCU College of Engineering
- Candidates can range from freshmen to seniors but need to have ambition
- Ideal candidates are actively engaged on campus or have the desire to be more engaged on campus
- Candidates need to have the potential to be a leader in their engineering community
- Candidates should either have public-speaking experience or have the capacity to learn how to do so
- Student who wants to share their love of the VCU College of Engineering.
