Welcome: 10 a.m. – Engineering Research Building, Collaborative Hub  

VCU’s College of Engineering welcomes you to our In Person Open House! We are excited to have you join us and learn more about our dynamic and engaging university. During our welcome you will have the opportunity to hear from College of Engineering leadership. You will also hear about all the exciting opportunities we have planned for you today to engage with our faculty, staff and students.

Visitor’s Choice 10:15 a.m.–Noon  

Various Locations 

Students have the flexibility to plan their day with the College of Engineering. Sessions include: touring our College of Engineering facilities, visiting departmental information tables, and attending one of our information sessions where you will be able to hear what VCU’s College of Engineering has to offer you.

10:15 a.m.–Noon | Program Fair (Engineering Research Building and East Hall Atrium)

Visit with department representatives, faculty members and current engineering students. All engineering departments will be represented as well as many student projects and organizations. Take this opportunity to meet some of our faculty and ask specific questions about our programs.

Tables in the ERB will include each academic department, Career Services, and Student Services. Tables in East Hall will include VIP research programs and student organizations.

10:30 a.m.–Noon | College of Engineering Tours (Engineering Research Building)

Tours of the Engineering Research Building and East Hall will be leaving from the Engineering Research Building first floor near the large stairs. The tour covers several labs spaces, and shared Engineering resources.

10:30–11:55 a.m. | VCU Engineers Information Sessions (Engineering Research Building, Room 1313)

Hear what VCU’s College of Engineering has to offer you. This session provide an overview of academic departments, student services, careers and internship opportunities, and the admissions process. These sessions will run every 30 minutes, choose one of the following times that best fits your schedule.

Session 1: 10:30–10:55 a.m. (Computer Science)  

Session 2: 11–11:25 a.m. (Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering | Chemical & Life Science Engineering)

Session 3: 11:30–11:55 a.m. (Electrical & Computer Engineering | Biomedical Engineering)
