Location: Engineering Research Building, Collaborative Hub
VCU’s College of Engineering welcomes you to our Preview Day! We are excited to have you join us and learn more about our dynamic and engaging university. During our welcome you will have the opportunity to hear from the College of Engineering leadership. You will also hear about all the exciting opportunities we have planned for you today to engage with our faculty, staff and students.
9–10:45 a.m. | Program Fair
Locations: Engineering Research Building and East Hall Atrium
Visit with department representatives, faculty members and current engineering students. All engineering departments will be represented as well as many student projects and organizations. Take this opportunity to meet some of our faculty and ask specific questions about our programs.
Tables in the ERB will include each academic department, Career Services, and Student Services. Tables in East Hall will include VIP research programs and student organizations.
9:15–10:30 a.m. | College of Engineering Tours
Location: Engineering Research Building
Tours of the Engineering Research Building and East Hall will be leaving from the Engineering Research Building first floor near the large stairs. The tour covers several labs spaces, and shared Engineering resources.
10:15–10:45 a.m. | Student and Parent Q&A Sessions
Locations: Engineering Research Building, Room 1313 and East Hall, Room 1232
Ask questions to a panel of current students to learn more about the College of Engineering and VCU. There will be separate sessions for both prospective students and parents.
11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. (approx.) | Department Info Session Lab Demonstrations
Locations: Engineering Research Building, East Hall and West Hall
Demonstrations will start at 11 a.m. and will be held in various locations throughout the Engineering Research Building, East Hall, and West Hall depending on the department. Current students will help guide prospective students and families to the department space.
