Engineers2B (E2B), is a program designed to provide small groups of students from grades 6-12 with the chance to visit the Virginia Commonwealth University College of Engineering, to experience engineering and computer science.

High School Programming Contest

The High School Programming Contest is a challenging and fun opportunity for high school students to improve their Java or Python programming skills. The event encourages the development of creative problem-solving and communication skills as students work with their teammates to generate solutions to programming problems.

The Internship & Career Fair, held bi-annual at the beginning of the fall and spring semester, gives students the opportunity to meeting with prospective employers to learn more about internships and job opportunities that are available.

McGee Lecture Series

The Henry A. McGee Lecture series honors the founding dean of the College of Engineering, Henry A. McGee, who is also a distinguished Emeritus professor in the Chemical and Life Science Engineering department. Guest speakers are invited on campus each year to share their research and expertise with College of Engineering faculty, staff and students.

MegaHack at VCU

MegaHack is a 24-hour sprint of intense innovation and problem-solving for innovative developers and makers to meet challenges provided by our sponsors. Participants address challenges through teamwork, solution ideation, programming, rapid prototyping, developing flow processes and more. Participants may work in teams of up to four members, and cross-disciplinary teams are highly encouraged.

Pharmaceutical Engineering Day

The Pharmaceutical Engineering Day, sponsored by the Build Back Regional Challenge, brings together industry partners, researchers, students, and others interested in advancing the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. There will be a mix of invited talks, technical presentations, and a poster session which all focus on the area of Translating Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: Innovations from the Bench to Communities.
