Hu Yang, Ph.D., Qimonda professor in the Department of Chemical and Life Science Engineering, has been named an associate editor of Materials Express, an international journal on multidisciplinary materials research.

Yang is also a professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the VCU School of Pharmacy and a member of the Developmental Therapeutics research program at VCU Massey Cancer Center. His work is at the intersection of engineering, materials science and medicine.

Materials Express covers the synthesis, characterization, properties and applications of a wide range of materials.

Yang currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Biological Engineering. Also, he is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Polymeric Materials and Polymeric Biomaterials.
