The VCU College of Engineering will host in-person graduation celebration for students on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
Graduating students, who will be required to wear a cap and gown, will walk across the stage. Professional photography services will be available.

VCU Engineering’s graduation ceremony will be held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Exhibit Hall A.
Graduates should plan to arrive between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Please report to E11- ABC. You do not need a ticket for yourself, only your guests need tickets.

The ceremony will be about 2 hours.
All graduates will be recognized individually as they cross the stage. If you did not fill out a name reader card, please be prepared to do so when you arrive at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
Professional pictures will be taken by Grad Images. A proof will be sent to you through email and you can elect to purchase it at that time.
Yes, this is an important day and you should plan to attend. The ceremony will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Richmond Convention Center. You need to arrive no later than 8:30 AM for lineup.
The degree conferral date will be May 16, 2026, however, degrees will post to your transcript on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Diplomas will be mailed beginning June 30, 2026, to the address provided during graduation checkout. Digital (CeDiplomas) diplomas will be available for download beginning June 30, 2026. To receive your diploma, you must meet all financial obligations to the university. Diplomas will not be released for those students who have not met their financial obligations. Please contact the Office of the University Registrar at (804) 827-1673 or graduation@vcu.edu once those obligations have been met.
