Biography
Dr. Marvi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research focuses on control systems and reinforcement learning, with an emphasis on developing safe, scalable, and learning-enabled control frameworks for complex dynamical systems, with applications in energy systems and robotics.
Prior to joining VCU, she was a Postdoctoral Associate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University, and her M.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology. In 2023, she was selected as an NSF iREDEFINE Fellow by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA).
