IEEE Magnetic Society Summer School

June 2–7, 2019

Virginia Commonwealth University College of Engineering in the historic city of Richmond, Virginia, has been chosen as the international host site for the 2019 IEEE Magnetic Society Summer School. The school includes a tour of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in nearby Gaithersburg, Maryland. An evening tour of Washington D.C. organized by the Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia Magnetics Society Chapter is planned. A panel discussion from industrial experts and federal research institutions will be held to provide an exposure to magnetics research, jobs and future trends in magnetics.

About 100 Ph.D. students will have the opportunity to present posters and participate in group project proposals. The best student poster and project will be awarded with a certificate and cash prize.
