Department facilities
Virginia Commonwealth University's College of Engineering offers innovative undergraduate and graduate programs that allow students to explore the field’s many facets while making meaningful contributions to research endeavors.
Departments
The college prides itself on small class sizes, allowing our faculty members to get to know each individual student and his or her educational and professional goals. These faculty members, many of whom have industry experience, spend one-on-one time with students, supporting their ideas and creating a multitude of research opportunities in the areas of:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Chemical and Life Science Engineering
- Computer Science
- Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering
With careful planning, undergraduate students can earn a minor in business or prepare for future study in VCU’s M.B.A. program or other graduate-level programs.
The college also takes part in a statewide partnership, the Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program. Coordinated by VCU, this program enables our students to take additional graduate courses from the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech and Old Dominion University via interactive video telecommunications.
Centers
