Engineering Student wins AIChE Award

Amanda Pham, a sophomore at VCU, has received the Donald F. Othmer Sophomore Academic Excellence Award. Pham is double majoring in chemical engineering and chemistry.

Pham received the award at the ChEnected 2018 Freshman and Sophomore Recognition Ceremony on October 28, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pham was honored for having the highest scholastic grade-point average during her first and second years in VCU’s chapter of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).

“I could not have received this reward without the support of my professors and peers,” Pham said. “I am very grateful.”

Pham’s academic adviser is Nastassja Lewinski.
